Patient Instructions
Before Your surgery
We want the day of your surgery to be a seamless experience, where you can simply walk in and check in to our reception desk. The registration document is designed to be quick and easy and completing the form should take you 10-15minutes. Please have your insurance and Medicare with you. You will need to organise a carer to take you home and stay with you overnight. Please take the opportunity to discuss with them your needs for the day.
Day of Surgery
When you arrive at our Specialist Surgicentre, we ask you to check in at the reception desk to verify personal and insurance information. At this time, we will also verify your carers details, as they are an integral part of your experience. Our Information Booklet will give you all the details on how you can prepare for your surgery.
After Your Surgery
Offering easy to understand recovery instructions for you and your family is our priority. Read through your ‘doctor specific’ recovery instructions thoroughly. Your carer will be notified to pick you up and at this time, will be given your discharge information to assist you arrive home safely and stay with you after your surgery. You need to ensure your carer can stay with you overnight. For further reading
